This is an established business that are financially strong and fortunately have been operating at 95% of capacity during the pandemic.

Their HR team is well respected within the business and work closely with their key stakeholders.

Reward to date has been managed by one of their HRBP’s. They now recognise that for it to be effective and to play a pivotal role in the overall HR strategy a dedicated reward function is required. Especially to impact on areas of Engagement, Retention and performance.

The role will report directly into the HR Director, and will work closely with the HR, Finance and Payroll team.

Focusing on their Total Reward this role will look at all existing systems and processes and if these need to be improved or completely changed. There will be a lot of initial research and scoping that will lead to putting in place recommendations for a Reward function that will complement HR’s goals and strategies. There will be support from the HR team but at this stage will be standalone.

As a team they are open, informal in their approach and have a strong team ethic. People we have placed within their HR team in the past have always fed back positively on how they have been welcomed and how the HR team operate.

The ideal candidate will of course have strong Comp and Benefits experience and who is happy taking on a role that requires a strategic approach but also happy dealing with the analytical and operational side. A strong relationship builder with good communication skills is essential as there are a number of key functions that will be involved in setting up of this function.

This is as an organisation that for the past several years has fully embraced agile working, and is focused on outputs not presenteeism.

The organisation has several sites in the UK and also one in the Republic of Ireland. Although this is not a travelling role the main stakeholders are based in Hemel Hempstead so post-Covid restrictions (one day, hopefully!), this would be one area that would require regular travel to.

Salary is £50,000 – £55,000.

The benefits offered are 15% bonus. £5000 car allowance. Healthcare.
